      Why was this DAF XF 95chosen as the truck of the year?

      In 1998, the DAF XF 95 was chosen as the truck of the year. But why? What is so special about this truck that it received this title? There are several reasons for that. The first is the favorable development costs. Compared to the predecessor DAF 95 ATI, DAF managed to keep the development costs for the DAF XF 95 low by basing those new DAF XF 95 trucks on the DAF 95.500. In addition, the cabs that we know today as well as the DAF Space Cab with a raised roof and the DAF Super Space Cab with an even higher roof were also designed.
