Volvo FL, The better truck for distribution work
The Volvo FL is a distribution truck made by Volvo. It has been in production since 1985 and gets used in many different areas of work. These include usage as firetruck, garbage truck or in construction. Apart from some modernization and some small modifications, the first generation Volvo FL was produced up to 2006. After this year, Volvo thoroughly redesigned the FL with a fully upgraded cabin and drive-train. The FL received its last face-lift in 2013 and from this year on received new engines which adhered to the Euro 6 emission norms.
Although the Volvo FL received updates and facelifts, the basic layout of the truck stayed the same. A cabin with its forward wheels placed to the front with a low entry. FL means Forward and Low-level Cab, emphasizing that the truck feels right at home in the busy and often tight environments in which a distribution truck needs to do its job. To further make a point, Volvo launched its infamous ‘The Chase’ commercial in 2013. In this ad, the Volvo FL had to stay ahead of a pack of bulls through the narrow streets of a Spanish village.
